Startup & Brightness Adaptation

The TC-X1 features a controlled startup system designed to manage power consumption from its single AA battery. The two image intensifier tubes are powered on sequentially, so one side may illuminate slightly earlier than the other.

ATOM image intensifier tubes also feature Automatic Brightness Control (ABC), which gradually adjusts image brightness when ambient lighting conditions change.

Both initial startup and brightness adjustment following sudden lighting changes typically take approximately 2–3 seconds to stabilise.

Once stabilised, the system delivers a clear and consistent image under steady lighting conditions. These response characteristics are normal for the current configuration, as confirmed by the manufacturer.
